A Blog discussing the latest information regarding Richard Brown's books.
Thought I'd pop in with a quick note.
For those interested in the short story comic I did with my wife, good news, it's now off of Pre-order and available for just 0.99, or free with a Kindle Unlimited membership.
On my first episode as the co-host of The HWP, J. Thorn and I discuss the new direction of the show, our individual writing/editing process, and mention some new book releases. We also make quite a few bad jokes. View the Podcast page for full show notes & links.
Knifed is an unpublished short story I wrote years ago. It's about a man who wakes up in his bedroom with a knife in his stomach, and no recollection of who stabbed him.
My wife Kelly Brown, who loves drawing and creating as much as I do, thought it would be fun to turn it into a comic. She normally doesn't do dark horror stuff, so I didn't expect much. In fact, while we have a great relationship, we have always struggled to work together creatively (she thinks I'm too picky). Probably true. ;)
Well, this time I stayed out of her way and I'm glad I did, because I think she did a great job with Knifed. I'm sure she'll be thrilled if people download and enjoy it.
So check it out. It's only $0.99, available now for Pre-order. The official release date is September 15, 2014.
This is the End 3 box set.
I was happy to be invited to be a part of this box set with 9 other incredible authors. For only $0.99 this set is an absolute steal, and a must-have for fans of apocalyptic fiction.
Here is a list of the books included in the set.
Arisen, Book One - Fortress Britain by Glynn James and Michael Stephen Fuchs
Dead Highways: Origins (Book 1) by Richard Brown
Chris Wakes Up by David W. Wright and Sean Platt
Artificial Evil (The Techxorcist Book 1) by Colin F. Barnes
After: The Shock (AFTER post-apocalyptic series, Book 1) by Scott Nicholson
Man's Ruin - A Dark Fantasy Novella (The Seventh Seal Sequel #1) by J. Thorn
Rising Fears by Michaelbrent Collings
Voodoo Plague by Dirk Patton
For those of you who would rather listen than read (or just have a long commute to work every morning), I'm happy to report I've finally begun working on putting together audiobook versions of all my novels.
Simon Whistler (host of The Rocking Self-Publishing Podcast) did the narration and I couldn't be more pleased. He went far and above my expectations, and then he went even farther. Just a truly masterful job. I can't thank him enough for working with me on this project.
